On Friday, June 5th kids will have a ball in the school gym working on their basketball skills, playing games, and eating pizza from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. They’ll be coached by Chris Cross, dad to 2nd grader Meredith, kindergartner Megan and future Greenwood Star Margot.  Coach Chris is a former Seattle University basketball star, former coach and current huge fan of hoops.

Join the dads of Greenwood Elementary on Friday, June 5th at the home of Ryan Barth, dad to second grader Skate Yoder and future Greenwood Star Dash.  Arrive at 6:30pm as Ryan taps the keg donated by the Fremont Brewing Company and enjoy homemade brats made by Wade Railey, dad to fourth grader Remmick.  Fixins and sides will be provided. It will be a great time to catch up with friends and get to know other Greenwood dads.

Greenwood students will enjoy an evening of dance with Ms. Bastasch and our fabulous dance teacher, Chris Daigre, on Friday, May 15th.  Chris has been teaching dance at Greenwood each of the last six years and the evening dance performance is many people’s favorite community event of the year!  We’ll learn a dance for our Field Day Flash Mob and then Ms. Bastasch will make a video from the evening’s performance to post online for the Greenwood School community.  Ms. Bastasch will be serving her delicious Burrito Bowls for dinner!  5:00pm – 8:00pm

Join other intermediate or recreational road bike riders for a fun 33 mile ride around Lake Sammamish on Saturday, May 16th. Riders and their bikes will meet at Redhook Brewery in Woodinville at 10 am.  Everyone will get snacks and a beverage half way through the ride, plus a round of beers at Redhook after the ride.  The ride is lead by a professional bike mechanic, who has lead bike tours for Bothell Ski and Bike for many years.  Join us for a beautiful ride and a free beer!
